Terry Stuart Forst of Waurika, Oklahoma, has been selected as the recipient of the National Golden Spur Award for her contributions to the ranching and livestock industries. Forst will be celebrated during the annual National Golden Spur Award Honors on Oct. 10, 2026, in Lubbock, Texas.
“Truly, I am humbled and honored to receive this award,” Forst said. “On behalf of my family and the almighty God, who has blessed us exceedingly and allowed us to sustain, build and grow the legacy left to us by our forefathers, I thank you.”
Presentation of the National Golden Spur Award is a joint annual recognition given by six of the leading state and national ranching and livestock organizations: the American Quarter Horse Association, National Cattlemen’s Foundation, Ranching Heritage Association, Texas Cattle Feeders Association, Texas Farm Bureau and the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association.
