The San Diego Metropolitan Transit System Monday announced an additional 145 parking spaces for trolley riders at the Clairemont Trolley Station.
The new parking facility was built in partnership with the San Diego Association of Governments as part of the 11-mile UC San Diego Blue Line extension, which added nine new stations between Old Town and University City.
According to MTS, ridership is growing along that Blue Line segment, and park-and-ride spaces regularly fill.
