An 18-year-old murder suspect, currently involved in two open second-degree murder cases, had one of the cases quashed Monday when a judge ruled that the 19th Judicial District Court didn’t have jurisdiction to pursue the case.
The murder proceeding was ended due to a math error by the District Attorney’s Office regarding the suspect’s age. The case and charges were not dismissed, but the trial will not proceed as scheduled.
