ROCKFORD — New ownership has taken over 8th Ward Pub, a cozy bar on Broadway that has garnered a reputation for serving some of the city’s best cocktails.
Former general manager Alison Fuller, who has been with the pub since its debut in August 2020, took over the business from Cathy Middleton on April 29. They formally announced the change last week.
“It’s hard to find somebody to work for that, when you go to work, you love your job. I found it here with Cathy,” Fuller said. “I consider this my home now. I felt like if she was going to sell it to somebody, I don’t know how I would feel working for somebody else.”…
