LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — After two recent arrests for felony animal abuse, an animal advocate says his organization wants those casinos on or near the Las Vegas strip to increase the safety of wild birds in their care.
Bryce Henderson, president of No Kill Las Vegas, was concerned specifically about a case in March and another in June where people are accused of injuring a flamingo and a duck, respectively.

“We’re asking Caesars Entertainment to put some safeguards in place,” Henderson said.
Caesars owns the Flamingo Hotel. Police say on Tuesday, March 3, Metro police received a call from the hotel about a man, later identified as Mitchell Fairbarn, 33, who allegedly broke into the property’s flamingo habitat and injured several birds, documents said…
