Gang member arrested after search warrant reveals guns, nearly 3 pounds of drugs

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Bakersfield police arrested a 27-year-old gang member on Monday after he was allegedly found in possession of two guns, suspected methamphetamine and cocaine and over $6,000 in cash.

On June 15, 2026, officers assigned to the Bakersfield Police Department Special Enforcement Unit (SEU) served a search warrant in the 500 Burchfield Avenue, just south of East Fairview Road. Officers contacted Eduardo Gaytan, 27, a known member of the Vario Rexland Parque street gang.

In the search, officers said they found the following:

  • Two guns
  • Approximately 2.8lbs of suspected methamphetamine
  • 85g of suspected cocaine
  • Over $6,000 in cash
  • Items related to the sales of narcotics

Gaytan was arrested and booked in the Kern County Sheriff’s Lerdo Justice Facility on related charges…
