BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — An attorney on Tuesday said negotiations were ongoing to resolve the case against a gang member who’s serving a life term in prison for two shootings and the girlfriend who allegedly hid him following his escape from custody last year.
Defense attorney Monica Bermudez, who represents Francisco Alejandro Garcia, told the court the prosecutor on the case is currently in trial and asked that a date be set in August to see where negotiations stand.
