FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Parkview Health and Cincinnati Children’s have teamed up to create better access to pediatric health care in northeast Indiana.
According to a press release from Parkview, the finalized joint operating agreement will combine Parkview’s current pediatric services with the internationally recognized Cincinnati Children’s. The joint operation will bring emergency, inpatient, and specialty care for children in hopes of reducing patient transfers and travel burdens for families.
The two health systems, which are about 180 miles apart, initially began working together in 2011 to enhance pediatric trauma services in the Fort Wayne region.
