Carlsbad police chase leads to shelter-in-place order

CARLSBAD, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — Residents in a northern San Diego County neighborhood were asked to temporarily shelter in their homes Tuesday afternoon during a police chase.

Carlsbad Police officers began chasing a person at 1 p.m. after a traffic stop on foot in the Solamar Mobile Estates community near Sea Breeze Drive and Easy Street, the police department said.

Officers asked residents to stay in their homes and to keep their doors and windows closed as police established a perimeter and searched the area…
