Latest in NOLA dining: Another restaurant closes amid Decatur St. roadwork, Tsunami shutters in CBD

For the second time in a week, a French Quarter restaurant contending with slow-rolling infrastructure work and road closures on Decatur Street has closed. This time it’s LUFU NOLA at 1117 Decatur St.

“We tried everything we could, but it reached the point where we couldn’t keep it open,” said Aman Kota, one of the three chefs who created the restaurant.

Their original LUFU NOLA at 301 St. Charles Ave. remains open. That restaurant in the Central Business District was included on the Michelin Guide to the American South last year in the Bib Gourmand category, recognizing great value…
