AUBURN N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Two people turned themselves in and were arrested for welfare fraud and more on Tuesday, the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office said.
According to a statement from the sheriff’s office, 56-year-old Jean Garropy and 31-year-old Caitlyn Reeves turned themselves in on arrest warrants connected to welfare fraud on the morning of June 16.
Garropy, of Auburn, was charged with the felonies of fourth-degree grand larceny, fourth-degree welfare fraud, and misuse of food stamps, said a daily arrest report from the sheriff’s office.
Reeves, of the town of Ledyard, was charged with the felonies of third-degree grand larceny, third-degree welfare fraud, first-degree offering a false instrument for filing and misuse of food stamps…
