A restaurant that put a central but previously vacant crossroads of Metairie on the map with Tex-Mex food and margaritas will soon close.
Las Cruces Tex Mex, at 2935 Airline Dr., will offer its last day of service on June 28, owner Marc Bonifacic said.
The restaurant wasn’t doing enough business to keep operating, and he plans to put the 3-year old building up for sale.
