Mackie as a suspect and say a warrant is on file. Detectives announced the identification on June 17 and released a photo and details about the man they are looking for. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

According to NOPD News, investigators named Kendrich D. Mackie (DOB 05/08/1986) as the person wanted in the case and say a warrant for his arrest is on file with Seventh District detectives. The department describes the incident as an aggravated battery by cutting that happened around 12:30 a.m. on June 7 in the 4300 block of Werner Drive.
