Two DPS troopers hurt after being dragged 130 feet during North Side traffic stop

SAN ANTONIO — Two Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) troopers were injured after being dragged by a vehicle while attempting to apprehend a fleeing suspect during a traffic stop on the city’s North Side.

31-year-old Nick Asa Garza is charged with two counts of aggravated assault against a public servant, evading arrest, and possession of marijuana.

According to an arrest affidavit, on Friday two Texas Highway Patrol Troopers attempted to stop a white 2015 Chevy Impala who allegedly failed to stop near the intersection of Buckeye Avenue and Weizmann on the city’s North Side…
