Local educator wants to open a public charter school in West Baton Rouge Parish

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Port Allen educator plans to open a public charter school in West Baton Rouge Parish.

According to a press release, Kami Henley intends to introduce Pelican Bridgepoint STEM Academy, the proposed charter school, to the West Baton Rouge School Board in January 2027.
