Alfredo Escamilla entered the Bexar County Jail in late summer 2023. When he left nearly a year later, he no longer had his right leg.
Escamilla, 54, was booked into the jail in August 2023 after a police officer reported that Escamilla kicked him while responding to a call about a suspicious vehicle near Roosevelt Park.
