Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office turns to new graduates amid staffing shortages

BUNCOMBE COUNTY, NC (WLOS) — As law enforcement agencies across western North Carolina continue to face staffing shortages, the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office is looking to a new class of graduates to help fill vacancies within the department.

Several cadets graduated Thursday from A-B Tech’s Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) program and are preparing to begin their careers with the sheriff’s office.
