Seven years ago, Lisa Allen launched her tiny business venture of selling unique rocks, minerals, and crystals at a booth at the Sweet Grace Market co-op on Clay Street in downtown Mebane. Her business steadily grew, and it wasn’t long before she realized she needed more space and wanted to expand her business. Her dream always had been to have her own location, and in April, her dream became a reality.
“I probably started about two years ago, I started looking and reaching out to different people,” said Allen. “What I wanted more than anything was to be downtown though. When I found out that this place was becoming available, I pounced on it. I knew who owned it and who to call and try and make it happen.”
Allen said she even looked in Hillsborough for a place to open her own business but quickly fell in love with her booth location…
