Heat advisory up for several counties

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Temperatures are mild as you step outside this morning, with lows in the mid-70s and very high humidity once again.

It’s going to be a very hot day. A Heat Advisory is in effect for inland parts of Horry County, as well as Scotland and Robeson counties. The heat index, or “feels-like” temperature, will exceed 105 degrees across these areas, while the rest of the region will feel between 100 and 104 degrees.

Actual air temperatures will also be extremely warm, but we are not expecting to break any record highs. Highs along the coast will reach the low 90s, while inland communities climb into the mid-90s. It will also be breezy today, with southwest winds gusting between 20 and 25 mph…
