Pa. attorney fined, suspended for ‘egregious’ violation of federal civil procedure rules

WILLIAMSPORT — A Jenkintown attorney has been fined $1,500 and suspended from practice in the U.S. Middle District for six months for an “egregious” violation of the federal rules of civil procedure.

Judge Matthew W. Brann on Thursday imposed the sanctions on Nicholas W. Mattiacci Sr. who accepted full responsibility for his conduct that he attributed to the use of artificial intelligence (AI).
