Deadly DUI crash near University of Oklahoma sparks calls for increased police presence
NORMAN, Okla. – Residents near the University of Oklahoma campus are calling for increased police patrols after a beloved neighbor is killed in a crash. Police said 22-year-old Andre McCoy was suspected of drunken driving and crashed into a car head-on, killing Shelia Wallace and her husband R. Brown Wallace last Saturday.
The Cleveland County District Attorney has charged McCoy this week with first-degree manslaughter and D-U-I. Court documents said a Norman police officer witnessed the crash.
