GREECE, N.Y. (WROC) — After a unanimous vote by the town board, Greece has decided to close a hotel due to safety concerns.
Thursday night, the Town of Greece board voted to close the M6 Studio Hotel due to ongoing fire and public safety concerns. The hotel at 600 Center Place Drive has been ordered to cease operations as of Monday, June 29, at 9:00 a.m.
Officials say the hotel’s ownership changed in March, which requires properties to comply with fire and property codes before they can be issued a Special Use Permit to operate. Currently, the hotel has over a dozen open code violations and is also responsible for many emergency and police calls…
