Bay Area woman survives 7 minutes in Pacifica surf after sneaker waves pull her out

A Pacifica fisherwoman was pulled into the ocean by a sneaker wave at Sharp Park Beach this week, a close call that has intensified concerns about where local anglers are fishing after the sudden closure of the Pacifica Municipal Pier.

Bae Cadotte was fishing from the shoreline Tuesday morning when a powerful wave dragged her into the surf, according to KTVU. She spent seven minutes in the water before fellow fishermen used a rope to pull her back to shore.
