CANYON COUNTY, Idaho — A Wilder man is challenging several Idaho cities over their use of Flock Safety license plate cameras, arguing the contracts behind the technology violate state law and threatening to sue if the cities do not make changes.
Tyler Cain, a Wilder resident and part of a group called DeFlock Idaho, has served notices of tort claims against the cities of Caldwell and Wilder, which are a required first step before suing a government entity in Idaho. The group has said it plans to do the same to Twin Falls and Idaho Falls if those cities do not respond.
