Friday morning at a Royal Farms gas station in Southeast Baltimore did not unfold like a normal coffee-and-gas run. After a report that someone had been injured by gunfire, Baltimore police moved in, ringed part of the property with crime-scene tape, and started a meticulous search for evidence.
Officers closed off a section of the store’s lot while forensics personnel were seen taking photos inside, carefully documenting the scene as detectives worked to piece together what happened.
Scene and response
According to WBFF/FOX45, officers sealed off part of the Royal Farms on the 3300 block of East Fayette Street, and forensic investigators were spotted photographing the store’s interior. The station published images from the scene and reported that it was still gathering details about the extent of any injuries and possible suspects.
At the time of that report, authorities had released very little about who may have been hurt or whether anyone was in custody.
