Seventeen area students, including three from Greene, Orange, and Rappahannock counties, have earned a combined $20,000 in scholarships from Rappahannock Electric Cooperative (REC).
They will use the scholarships to support their plans of continuing their education at colleges, universities and technical schools.
Lila Edwards and Evan Taylor, both graduates of William Monroe High School, along with Lilly Grimsley, a graduate of Rappahannock County High School, and Maya Tabor, an Orange County High School graduate and student at James Madison University, all received $1,000 REC Community awards…
