‘A catalyst for downtown’: Fresno approves new 174-unit apartment

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – With a unanimous council decision, the City of Fresno this week paved the way for the long-awaited Park at South Stadium Apartments on the northwest corner of Fulton and Inyo Streets in downtown.

“This is really the first housing development we’ve seen in the south stadium area for decades,” said Mayor Jerry Dyer. “It will serve to be a catalyst for downtown Fresno.”

The move promises to turn the parking lot on the corner between Tioga-Sequoia and Chukchansi Park into an eight-story, 174-unit building – one that will include both affordable and market-rate housing…
