Video: Car runs off road after taking gunfire in Lexington; Winston-Salem man facing charges

LEXINGTON, N.C. (WGHP) — A Winston-Salem man is facing charges after allegedly shooting at and running a car off the road in Lexington, according to warrants and court testimony.

Jaden Rayne Fishel, 25, of Winston-Salem, is charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and one count each of discharging a weapon into occupied property and discharging a firearm in city limits.

According to warrants, on June 7, Fishel used a Chrysler Town and Country van to assault two people — a female victim and a male victim — and fired an unknown handgun into a white Honda that was occupied by the two victims on West 5th Avenue and Brookgreen Drive.

In court on Friday, the assistant district attorney said Fishel was in his vehicle pursuing the white Honda. Fishel allegedly started shooting at the Honda and ran it off the road. Video from the scene shows the Honda flip and come to a rest upside down in the front yard of a home on West Center Street.
