Tri-County Technical College approves $71.6M budget, 3.6% tuition increase

The Tri-County Technical College Commission recently approved a $71.6 million operating budget for fiscal year 2027 during its June 1 meeting.

The approved budget, which will go into effect July 1, includes a 3.6% tuition increase for in-county students beginning the fall semester of the 2026-27 school year. Students impacted by the tuition increase include those living in Anderson, Oconee or Pickens counties.

Tuition was raised from $191.63 to $198.53 per credit hour for full-time in-county students. This increase amounts to an additional $6.90 per credit hour or $82.80 per semester for students taking 12 credit hours…
