Myrtle Beach Juvenile Curfew Enforced in Ocean Boulevard Area as Summer Crowds Increase

Myrtle Beach police are reminding families that unaccompanied minors must leave the downtown Ocean Boulevard area by 9 p.m. unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The Myrtle Beach Police Department issued a reminder Friday about the city’s juvenile curfew rules as residents and visitors continue to flock to the Grand Strand during the busy summer season.

Under the ordinance, unaccompanied minors ages 17 and younger must be out of the designated downtown curfew zone and all city-owned properties by 9 p.m. unless they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. Officials said limited exceptions apply for work, emergencies, and other approved circumstances.
