(WJAR) — Rhode Island bars and other establishments that serve alcohol will soon be required to offer drink lids to customers who request them under a new law signed by Gov. Dan McKee.
Supporters say the measure is designed to help prevent drink tampering and give patrons added peace of mind.
“Every time I want to go to the bathroom, I’m like, wait, I don’t want to leave my drink alone,” Providence resident Maggie Weeks said.
