TULSA, Okla. – Team Oklahoma is preparing to leave Tulsa for the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games in Minneapolis, where athletes from across the state will compete on a national stage.
Athletes, coaches and supporters are gathering Friday morning for a sendoff celebration before departing for Minnesota.
Team Oklahoma heads to national competition
The Oklahoma delegation includes 81 athletes, coaches and team personnel who qualified to compete at the Special Olympics USA Games.
Athletes will represent Oklahoma in track and field, swimming, bocce, bowling, flag football and cheerleading after months of training and preparation.
Supporters gather for sendoff
