COLUMBIA, S.C. — The remnants of Tropical Storm Arthur have exited the region.
After a mainly dry afternoon with peaks of sunshine, a cold front will likely spark isolated thunderstorms around dinner time through this evening.
The severe weather threat with these is low, but brief gusty winds can’t be ruled out along with the heavy downpours and lightning.
The cold front will be located south of the Midlands on Saturday, resulting in a dry, less humid start to the weekend.
The front will then retreat back north on Sunday, opening the door for higher humidity…
