JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. (TNND) — The U.S. Air Force delivered its new VC-25B Bridge aircraft to the Presidential Airlift Group, where it will begin commissioning flights before entering service as part of the executive airlift fleet, according to a news release.
The modified aircraft is designed to help fill a gap created by extended maintenance cycles for the aging VC-25A fleet, which currently transports the president. Officials said the aircraft features secure communications and advanced technology needed to support presidential missions.
