TRAFFIC ALERT: Castle Hayne Road commuters face lane shifts beginning Monday

CASTLE HAYNE, N.C. (WECT) – Temporary lane shifts will begin Monday on Castle Hayne Road as utility crews install a new water main.

A contractor for the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority will close a section of the southbound lane, between Preservation Point Road and the Smith Creek bridge, starting at 7 a.m. on June 22.

The closure affects the 1200-1400 blocks of Castle Hayne Road. Flaggers will direct drivers around the construction area.

Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The lane will reopen outside those hours…
