COLUMBIA, S.C. — A cold front that dropped through yesterday will remain south of the Midlands on today, resulting in a dry, less humid start to the weekend.
The front will then retreat back north by tomorrow.
This will open the door for higher humidity and perhaps some isolated storms.
Showers and a few thunderstorms will be possible Sunday afternoon and evening in the western Midlands, but will be more likely in the Upstate.
Isolated to scattered storms will be a daily threat next week during the afternoon and evening hours as a more typical summertime pattern returns…
