Another homegrown Huntsville restaurant closes: ‘Honor to serve this community’

About halfway through 2026, already no fewer than four restaurants have closed in downtown Huntsville this year. Razzo Pizzeria, at 222 Holmes Ave. N.E., is the latest.

Known for tasty signature pizzas like Meteor Lovers and Galactic Goat — their whimsical names nods to Huntsville’s rich aerospace legacy — Razzo announced the news this week on social media.

Their announcement reads: “Razzo has permanently closed. Thak you so much for the joy, love and support you share with us. It was an incredible honor to serve this community.”

Its name Italian for “rocket,” Razzo first opened spring of last year. AL.com included them in our 2025 new-Huntsville-restaurants-we-love list.
