4-Year-Old Boy Dies After Pool Incident at Florida Home, Deputies Investigating

North Lauderdale, Florida — A South Florida community is mourning the loss of a young child after a 4-year-old boy died following a pool-related incident at a home in North Lauderdale on Friday morning.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO), emergency dispatchers received a call shortly after 10 a.m. reporting a possible drowning involving a young child at a residence in the area of Southwest 63rd Terrace.

First responders rushed to the scene in an effort to save the boy, but despite emergency medical treatment, the child later died at a local hospital.
