COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) -The Southern Colorado Juneteenth Festival is underway, bringing food, music, vendors, and community celebration to the Pikes Peak region.
This year’s festival is being held at the Norris Penrose Event Center, a change from last year’s location. Organizers say the move indoors allows the event to keep many of the same traditions while creating a different experience for attendees.
“It’s inside,” event organizer Jennifer Smith said. “So basically we’re here, we’re doing everything that we did on the outside but on the inside. We are at Norris Penrose.”…
