INDEPENDENCE, Ohio – Youngsters at Independence Middle School got to try their hands at a raft of new skills and experiences thanks to a special Mini Course day.
Regular lessons were delayed for the special event, held last month, and was designed to blend student choice, staff creativity and hands-on learning.
“Mini Course Day was really about giving students an opportunity to experience learning in a different way,” said Principal Haley Mueller. “We wanted to create something fun and meaningful that allowed students to explore new interests while also building connections with staff and classmates outside of the traditional classroom setting.”…
