Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney announced on June 18 that William Turri, 20, of Fairport, was indicted for Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree and other related charges, for allegedly selling methamphetamine out of his dorm room at Stony Brook University.
“This defendant allegedly turned a college dorm room into a methamphetamine distribution hub,” said District Attorney Tierney. “We will not tolerate people who peddle poison in our communities, especially those who do so targeting students on college campuses. I thank the Suffolk County Police Department and the Stony Brook University Police Department for their collaborative work on this case.”
According to the investigation, on two occasions in April 2026, an undercover Suffolk County police officer contacted Turri through Instagram after allegedly receiving information that Turri was selling Adderall on Stony Brook University’s campus.
