A new restaurant called The Historic Highland Road Grill is preparing to open in the former Sammy’s Grill space on Highland Road in Baton Rouge.
The concept comes from owner Will “Willie” Chapman, owner of Willie’s Restaurant at 11260 Coursey Blvd which opened in 2015. Chapman said he expects to receive the keys on 1 July and is targeting an October opening for the new restaurant.
The new restaurant location will be at 8635 Highland Road, inside the 8,300-square-foot space. Sammy’s Grill recently closed after serving the community for more than four decades…
