BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Community members gathered in Scotlandville on Saturday for the second annual Juneteenth Jubilee Festival, a celebration honoring freedom, culture, and community more than 160 years after the end of slavery in the United States.
The event featured local vendors, entrepreneurs and residents coming together to recognize the significance of Juneteenth while supporting Black-owned businesses and strengthening community ties.
