Racer evacuated to hospital after high-speed crash: Pikes Peak International Hill Climb

(PIKES PEAK, Colo.) — Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (PPIHC) competitor Patrick Culligan was involved in a high-speed vehicle accident during the race on Sunday, June 21, according to PPIHC. He was taken to the hospital and is stable as of 1:15 p.m.

According to PPIHC, Culligan, who raced under the number 720, was evacuated to UC Health for further evaluation. He is reportedly awake, alert, and in stable condition…
