Baton Rouge school board gives LaMont Cole two-year authority over job descriptions

In an innovative move, the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board is giving Superintendent LaMont Cole the power to approve or revise all job descriptions for the next two years.

In return, Cole has to update and clean up descriptions for his 6,000 employees — as well as part-timers and substitutes — in addition to modernizing how these records are made available to the public.
