Summerfest 2026 Second Weekend Brings Ed Sheeran, Post Malone, and a High-Intensity Festival Stretch

Summerfest 2026 enters its second weekend June 25–27 in Milwaukee with a lineup anchored by two of the most commercially powerful touring artists in modern music, setting up a stretch that is expected to be among the festival’s most heavily attended.

The weekend opens Thursday, June 25, with Ed Sheeran headlining the American Family Insurance Amphitheater. Sheeran’s appearance marks a more intimate stop on a tour otherwise built around stadium venues, placing one of pop music’s most recognizable solo performers into a festival setting known for its diverse, multi-stage layout. He is expected to perform a mix of catalog hits and newer material, with openers Myles Smith and Aaron Rowe preceding him on the amphitheater stage. Elsewhere on the grounds that evening, rapper Common headlines the BMO Pavilion — stepping in after The Roots withdrew due to a scheduling conflict.

Friday shifts the tone toward country and crossover programming, led by Cody Johnson at the amphitheater, with rising country artist Jessie Murph as his special guest.
