FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Fresno is trying to bring more activity to downtown with a recently passed ordinance by creating three entertainment zones that would allow outdoor drinking during approved special events.
The one-year pilot program creates three zones along Fulton Street where people can buy alcohol from licensed businesses and take it outside during city-approved events.
Zone A would run along Fulton Street from the south edge of Inyo Street to the north edge of Mono Street. Zone B would run along Fulton Street from Fresno Street to Mono Street, with portions of Mariposa and Kern streets connecting to Fulton.
