STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A commercial truck struck and snapped off part of a utility pole in Charleston Monday morning, just missing a nearby home.
The incident occurred around 8 a.m. on Sharrotts Road, between Carlin Street and Veterans Road West, according to the FDNY.
The bottom half of the utility pole was bent at a right angle, mere feet from the entrance to a house on Sharrotts. The top half of the pole was leaning on overhead wires and resting on the cab of the truck.
No injuries were reported following the crash, according to the FDNY…
