Thousands of Xfinity by Comcast customers were reporting service outages on Monday afternoon, but service was mostly restored by the early evening.
Downdetector, a website that monitors service outages, reported about 26,000 outages nationwide as of 4:30 p.m. That number had fallen to about 200 by 7:30 p.m.
