The Christian County Health Department’s Board of Directors opted to table discussions on the Fiscal Year 2027 Public Health Tax Rate Monday night — instead waiting for state compensating rates to be announced, before calling a special session in August to decide whether or not to maintain, raise or lower values.
The decision came after more than 20 minutes of impassioned, but proactive, discussions between members — hoping to create a balanced, fair budget, one similar to post-COVID ledgers.
